Every Monday I will be uploading a video that targets the skills needed to pass the A1 and A2 exams according to the CEFR. While the actual guidelines for this system are extremely detailed, I tried to break it down to the simplest forms of what you need to know. The video below outlines what you need to know about the A1 and A2 levels and what I plan to do on my YouTube channel with these levels. Below the video you can find a list of videos that I plan to upload in the first month of this project.
Next Monday's video will be the most basic of videos. It will talk about greetings and farewells. While the main focus will be to teach you various ways to say "hello" and "good-bye" in German, there will also be some extra phrases built in to help those students at the A2 level.
On January 16th I will up load a video that teaches you the various ways to ask "how are you" and how to answer that question. It will be a skit that gives quite a few examples of ways to interact at the most basic level of chit chat.
On January 23rd I will upload a video that answers the question "where do you live". This will include how to format a German address and how to describe where you live without giving away too much information to someone you don't know very well.
On January 30th I will upload a video about shopping including: how to interact with shop personnel, how to find things you need based on department names, and more.
If you have any suggestions for upcoming videos that you would like to see in this series, you can email me or leave a comment on a video or blog post.
