Welcome to the official website for the YouTube channel Learn German with Herr Antrim. In an effort to create a great user experience for his YouTube viewers and to add to the overall user experience on his YouTube channel, he created this website. Here he posts regular blog posts about the topics covered on his YouTube channel. You can discuss the topics under each blog post and even get extra help from Herr Antrim himself.

Who is Herr Antrim?

Herr Antrim is a high school German teacher with a passion for teaching as many people German as he can. With this in mind he created the YouTube channel Learn German with Herr Antrim in 2011. The videos on his YouTube channel were originally intended for his German students in his physical classes, but he started getting positive feedback from other German teachers and German learners.

In 2015 he uploaded his last video that was intended for his own students and started concentrating on making videos that would be helpful to students of all learning methods. He wanted to make it so that anyone who wanted to learn German could do so by using resources available for free on the web and his videos. In order to facilitate that, he started doing reviews of online resources so he could weed out the bad ones and suggest places to get extra help from the good ones.

After getting feedback from his viewers and getting a better idea of the online methods used by other German teachers, Herr Antrim decided to start making videos that fit into the A1-C2 scale from the CEFR (Common European Framework for Languages). This allows students to know how much German they should know before understanding a particular video and makes things a bit more organized on Herr Antrim's YouTube channel.
